It's not that nothing's going on, just that we're lazy with
the "news" page. Mike moved to Hawaii, so we're seeking
a new drummer. Dan went to Nashville and recorded "Maybe
I'll Fly" with John Mark Painter for a feature length film
to be released sometime this year. Dan is currently writing
and recording a new album to be released under the DB3
moniker. You will likey.

who came out for the show, especially Clyde, Earwig and International
Orange. We can't wait to do it again. Pics from the show are
up here.

Wooooooo-hoooooooo! ...Straight On Till
Morning is shipping even as this is being written.
We will have the album in hand tomorrow morning, and
you will have the album in hand Friday night.
May 22, 2004
...Straight On Till Morning is officially out
of our hands. The artwork and master have been sent off to
New Jersey, and now we must patiently await the arrival of
our new baby.
May 17, 2004
The album is in the can. We master on Wednesday. Click
on the little orange DB3 "pill" in the upper right

An unmastered copy of "Last Call" has been posted
for your listening pleasure.

The release show posters are printed and ready to go
up. Wanna help hang 'em around town?
us.

May 6, 2004
International Orange (former Ben Folds
band mates) are confirmed for the CD release on June 11. That
rounds out the bill to: Clyde, Earwig, International
Orange, and DB3. Kick ass show on the way,
kids.

More vocals to track tonight...
We put up a bunch of pictures today; check out the DB3
Photomaton and take a look at what we're doing in the
studio and on the stage.
April 14, 2004
You kids are gonna love this album. Jason White is
a genius (DB3's not too shabby either). Yesterday, we had
Jon Beard lay down a bass groove on "I'm Yer Man"
for old time's sake. Can I just say that I'm so happy to have
him in the DB3 family? I guess I just did.
April 12, 2004
We have confirmed booking at Skully's
for the DB3 CD release event on June 11, 2004. Clear your
calendar and make sure you are there before 9pm for one of
the best shows you have ever seen.
April 9, 2004
Clyde
(former Sugar Pill and Sister Flow members) has been confirmed
for the DB3 release party on June 11. Prepare to get out your
funky hats and get your groove on.
April 4, 2004
Earwig
has been confirmed for the DB3 release party on June 11. We
are very excited about this. If you haven't heard Earwig,
first of all, pull your head out of your ass. Second, check
out their website
and go see one of their shows (don't just wait for our CD
release).
March 1, 2004
Time has been slated at Diamond Mine for the
end of March. Time to start picking songs and making lists.
February 20, 2004
We've added a message
board to the site, so you can let everybody know what
you're thinking about DB3.
February 12, 2004
We've been invited to play on a ticket with Trapper
John and Asher at Skully's on March 5th. Keep it coming, Columbus.
February 12, 2004
We just got added to the bill for Saturday, February
21st at Skully's
Music Diner, the pretty little venue just across from
Little Brother's between campus and Short North. We're playing
with a band from Chicago called Bottle
of Justus. Never heard of 'em, but evidentally they
toured with O.A.R., so maybe they will bring out the
OSU crowd. See you there.
January 20, 2004
NYC
band Suffrajett
has been added to the High Five show on Saturday, February
7th. This move was facilitated by Chip Midnight of local music
web column Atomic
Ned, who contacted us with a request from Wes Kidd (formerly
of Triple Fast Action) who is now Suffrajett's manager.
This means you now get three bands (Suffrajett, Front
Row for the Meltdown, and DB3) for the price of
one. And now that you know the entire history of that... come
see the show.
January 16, 2004
Check it out, baby. The new demo sampler is almost
done. Dan still has some tweaking to do, but here's the cover
art:

Hopefully this CD will represent our new sound
a little more authentically and get us some more gigs and
attention. Thanks again to Jon Beard for engineering.
January 9, 2004
Jason White of Diamond Mine Productions
has been locked in to engineer and produce for the next album.
Details forthcoming.
December 11, 2003
Dan was up late last night, so we've got some rough
mixes of the Ghetto Recordings from December 6. You can find
"Crazy Eddie," "Crossing Over" and "Flyboy"
on the music page.
December 8, 2003
If you're looking at this, then you know that the new
site is up.
December 6, 2003
We've completed a 70's style recording of a few of
our songs. That is to say, we set up some mics in the living
room and recorded live. Plans for the recordings are still
not solidified. The main thing is to get the sound out to
some more venues. We'll keep you posted. Many many thanks
to Jon Beard for engineering; this guy is one super-hero
cowboy.

DB3 takes the People's Choice Award for
Columbus' Aids Rock Ohio 2003! Thanks to all the fans
old and new who showed their support and made us the people's
choice out of the 26 Aids Rock Ohio finalists.
July 2, 2003
We just receieved notice that we have been selected as one
of the finalists for Aids Rock Ohio. We will be competing
on Saturday, August 16th at Promo West Pavillion, 8pm. Cover
is $10 and helps local AIDS charities.
"The winner of the competitions will be selected at
the Tall Trees Music Festival at The Factory on Saturday,
September 13th, will win a recording contract and a chance
to open at the Schottenstein Arena on Sunday, Sept 14th for
a major national act (tba)." --from the Aids Rock Ohio
site
Last night our CD was placed into the hands of people from
Ben Folds (thanks, Erika!), Boston, Tori Amos and Three Doors
Down (thanks, Dan Weingartner!).
We are currently negotiating the possibility of going back
into the studio to record a song for an indie label compilation
to be released in October. We will announce the information
here as soon as things are solidified.
June 29, 2003
Last night at Miani's was great. It started out slow,
but by the end of the night we were looking at about 250 people,
and they were all new faces, so hopefully we made some new
fans (actually, I know we made at least two major fans with
"I'm Alive;" that guy and his girl were going wild
--excellent).
We were entered into a contest at Miani's that is based
on the number of people you can pack into the place on a Sunday
night (bands compete on the Sundays of a given month: whoever
brings in the most people on their night wins the take at
the door for the whole month). So when our night rolls around,
we need EVERYBODY there. Who knows, maybe we could make enough
to get back into the studio...
June 24, 2003
Jonas broke his hand. Dumbass slammed it in a car door
(no Johnny Tightlips and Vinnie the Tree were not involved).
So we are looking for a new base player (Jonas is looking
to concentrate on his studio efforts anyway, and we need someone
who can rock a little harder than he).
